Remedial Massage

Specialising in easing your pain and aiding your recovery.

Remedial massage therapy is an umbrella term that covers a variety of styles and modalities. The main purpose is to assist people with injuries or ongoing pain and discomfort to repair and improve their condition.

Remedial massage relies upon the skills of the therapist to assess the client’s needs, develop a plan, use a variety of techniques to help the client and assess the changes in the client’s needs. It’s our greatest hope that there will come a time when our client’s don’t need us any more.

In the meantime, we keep learning and developing new ways to help you in the most efficient, caring and compassionate way possible. Areas of skill include:

  • Deep tissue massage
  • Relaxation massage
  • Pregnancy massage
  • Oncology massage
  • Sports massage
  • Magnet therapy
  • Hot Stone therapy
  • AromaTouch massage & aromatherapy
  • Rockblades and IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilisation)
  • Cupping and
  • Myofascial release

All of these get mixed into a plan that enables the Essential Therapies team to apply a variety of techniques to assist you to feel better, ease your aim and aid your recovery.
